NFL superstar Amon-Ra St. Brown shed some light on being followed by the Netflix cameras.
The streaming giant is trying to follow up Quarterback, which was a smash hit last summer, with a new show called Receiver.
The first episode aired this week featuring Detroit Lions pass catcher St. Brown, Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings, George Kittle and Deebo Samuel of the San Francisco 49ers, and Las Vegas Raiders receiver Davante Adams.
“Honestly, it was easy. It wasn’t very invasive. They did a great job making everything perfect,” Amon-Ra told Brother Equanimous in the St. Patrick’s Podcast
“They called me once a week to practice. So I was on the mic every Wednesday. This is the biggest day of practice in the NFL.
“They mic’d me on Wednesdays and the camera crew was there to practice, and that was it for the week.
“So they mic’d me on game days, every game day. The camera crews would be there.”
In addition to being recorded at practices and games, St. Brown filmed some of his days off while spending time with his family.
The two-time Pro Bowler was named the NFL’s highest-paid player in April.
He signed a four-year, $120 million extension as Detroit consolidated its offensive talent.

But the St. Brown deal has already been outbid twice in the wide receiver market.
AJ Brown signed a three-year, $96 million extension with the Philadelphia Eagles in late April.
And fellow Netflix star Jefferson agreed to a four-year, $140 million contract in June.
St. Brown wasn’t the only Lion to get a mega extension this summer.
Quarterback Jared Goff received a surprising $212 million contract.
Goff became the highest-paid player in Lions history with this new deal, which will reportedly include $170 million guaranteed.
It’s yet another sign of the clear intent in Detroit to ensure that the brilliant recent progress under coach Dan Campbell doesn’t go to waste.
The Lions have already rewarded three marquee players this offseason, with more than $444 million in contract extensions for Goff, St. Brown and forward Penei Sewell.
Goff threw for 4,575 yards with 30 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
He is determined to build on his success.
“We have a lot of work to do,” Goff said.
“Expectations are high, but internally our standards are rising, and our expectations are rising, and we have goals and things we want to do.
“We’re not going to show up and start winning again.
“Just focus on what matters and try to improve and help our team win games, advance further than last year and hopefully be the last team standing at the end. That’s all I’m thinking about.”
