NFL host Kay Adams is convinced the Miami Dolphins are keeping Tua Tagovailoa.

On Wednesday’s episode of Up & Adams, Kay Adams made it clear that she thinks Tua will get a long-term contract with the Dolphins.

Adams cited several of Tua’s statistics, saying they can’t be ignored when looking at a quarterback.

“I believe the organization views Tua as their guy,” Adams said.

“Even though some people say he shouldn’t, I think he should. Yes, you want playoff success and wins to come, but that’s not the only barometer we should use to measure a quarterback’s success.

“So instead of focusing on what hasn’t happened yet, look at what he has done.

“He had a winning record in all four seasons he was a starter in that division. He led Miami to consecutive playoff appearances for the first time in more than 20 years.

“He led the NFL in passing last year and in passer rating the year before that.

“Are we really going to sit here and completely discredit all of this because he got injured and didn’t play in the playoffs one year and then lost to Patrick Mahomes with a decimated roster the next year?”

While the deal hasn’t been finalized yet, Adams thinks Tua and the Dolphins have a mutual interest in working out a contract for the future.

“The coaches that are around him every day and that know him, the evaluators that look at everything they’ve done, they see what we’re seeing,” Adams said.

“You don’t go to Tua’s luau, participating and lingering if they don’t like it.

“Talk is cheap. Long talk is expensive, right? The fact that the Dolphins want this to happen tells me everything I need to know.”

Tua passed for 4,624 yards with 29 touchdowns and 14 interceptions while leading the Dolphins to an 11-6 record.

However, fans had mixed reactions to Adams’ optimistic attitude toward his extension.

“Kay, I love seeing you talk about ball, but you need to relax on this one,” said one fan.

“Hell yeah, 10 years, $50 million per,” said another fan.

“Couldn’t have said it better! Thank you!” a third fan said.
