The Baltimore Ravens already boasted one of the most dominant offenses in the NFL, but they got a lot scarier this off-season.

In one of the best moves of free agency, the Ravens signed running back Derrick Henry as their newest ball carrier.

The Ravens already had a dominant running game, not from their running backs, but from quarterback Lamar Jackson, who is coming off an MVP win.

Jackson finished last season with 821 rushing yards and five touchdowns.

Sophomore wide receiver Zay Flowers developed a great connection with his quarterback last season and shared how special he is to the team’s success.

“He’s different, there’s no one like that,” Flowers said.

Meanwhile, Henry has rushed for 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2023.

The two-headed monster in the backfield will be a nightmare for opponents, but there is one player on the Ravens who could benefit most from it.

Flowers thinks such a dominant offense will open up more opportunities for him to be successful.

When asked about his initial reaction to Henry’s signing, Flowers told The US Sun: “I’m going to get more one-on-one matchups.”

“They have to worry about Lamar and Derrick in the box,” the 23-year-old said.

Flowers explained that opposing defenses now have to worry about the possibility of two players coming out instead of one, allowing the Ravens’ receivers to create better space.

“It will help the receivers and open us up more,” he said.

“We’ll be running a little more because they’re going to have to worry about Lamar and Derrick on defense.”

Flowers showed that he has the potential to be a star in the NFL during his rookie season in 2023, but he thinks he will have great success in 2023.

After recording 858 yards and five touchdowns last year, Flowers finds himself reaching big milestones with his attention focused on Henry.

“I want at least 1,000 yards,” Flowers said.

Flowers’ main goal isn’t personal achievement, it’s personal success, and he thinks the Ravens have what it takes to return to the AFC Championship game and win a Super Bowl.

They need to worry about Lamar and Derrick in the box.

“We had a great season last year, we had a great team, so we’ll be able to get back there,” Flowers said.

“The most important thing is I want to win, get back to where we were and try to win a Super Bowl.”

The Ravens finished 13-4 in 2023 and were one step away from competing in the Super Bowl.

They lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship, a game in which Flowers rushed for 115 yards with a touchdown.

The Ravens will open the 2024 season with a rematch against the Ravens, a game Flowers has circled on his calendar.

“I like our first game,” Flowers said with a smile.

Flowers and the Ravens will begin their season against the Chiefs on Thursday, September 5th.
