NFL fans fear a Kansas City Chiefs three-peat after Patrick Mahomes showed immediate chemistry with his new receiving options in camp.
The Chiefs returned to practice the weekend ahead of the upcoming 2024 NFL season.
Quarterback Mahomes hopes to lead Kansas City to a historic third consecutive Super Bowl victory.
He took the field with new rookie receiver Xavier Worthy as training camp began in Saint Joseph’s, Missouri.
Worthy was absent for much of off-season training due to a sore hamstring – but returned to health on Saturday.
And a viral video of a play has NFL fans fearing the Super Bowl title is already coming back to Kansas City.
Mahomes is seen coming out of the pocket and throwing a massive ball toward the 28th overall pick, Worthy, in the training clip.
The 21-year-old speedster provides Mahomes with an on-field threat he has lacked since Tyreek Hill left the organization in 2022.
Worthy was able to create separation from his defender, receiving the perfect pass from Mahomes to score in front of a jubilant crowd.
Tight end Travis Kelce can be seen flexing his muscles in celebration after the impressive play.

“The league is in trouble,” choked one fan in response to the filming.
“I know it’s just training, but it’s a ridiculous move,” said another.
“Patrick Mahomes moonshots are back on the menu in 2024,” said a third.
“Imagine not thinking this team wouldn’t return to SB,” added a fourth.
Worthy ran a 4.21 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, the fastest time ever recorded in the event, for ESPN.
Alongside the rookie, the Chiefs have newcomer Marquise Brown, second-year player Rashee Rice, last season’s Super Bowl hero Mecole Hardman and star tight end Kelce.
“[Worthy] has been working hard,” coach Andy Reid told reporters on Saturday.
Diamonds are forever
Kansas City’s newest Super Bowl rings feature 529 diamonds, 38 rubies and a tribute to the winning game.
The Chiefs displayed their latest piece of jewelry in a special ceremony on Thursday, June 13.
The new bling features the years of Kansas City’s Super Bowl victories – 1969, 2019, 2022 and 2023.
He also has a handwritten drawing of the play ‘Tom and Jerry’ by Andy Reid, which won Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Kansas City beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime in February.
And the rings feature 22 diamonds to represent the points Kansas City scored in the second half and overtime.
Nineteen diamonds also represent his 11 consecutive winning seasons and eight consecutive AFC West titles.
Although there is also a commemorative patch for the late Norma Hunt, the matriarch of the Chiefs’ owning family who died last summer.
“It looks like the hamstring is better. We just need to keep it here and keep learning.
“We’re only one [practice] in it and they have 12 of them, so it has a lot more information coming to it and formations and changes and movements and all that stuff.
“But he did a good job today.”
Hardman was also impressed with the former Texas star and spoke about the Chiefs’ newest recruit’s immense “speed.”
“We all feed off each other,” Hardman said.
“We have a great room; everyone knows what’s going on.
“They know their roles. I think now training camp will really establish everyone’s roles.”
