Rumors have long persisted that Las Vegas Raiders receiver Davante Adams could be eyeing a reunion with his former Green Bay Packers teammate Aaron Rodgers — currently the Jets’ quarterback.

Acquiring Adams would not be an easy task, given that this season will be just the third of his five-year, $140 million contract.

However, Greenberg remains extremely optimistic that the Jets will be able to reach an agreement sooner rather than later.

“I already consider Davante Adams a Jet. As far as I’m concerned, we already have it,” he said.

What’s more, Greenberg later added, “Whatever you want to bet, I bet Davante Adams will be a jet on Halloween.”

At first, McAfee proposed that Greenberg say “f**k” on ESPN and that, in turn, he wear a suit for a day – something the Get Up host immediately rejected.

“I can’t get away with all the things you can do with McAfee, let’s face it,” Greenberg commented.

Instead, he agreed to wear a live tank top – something McAfee does regularly.

“I’m going to dress up as McAfee for an entire show,” Greenberg said.

“In fact, I would love for some of you to come and do the show, and we would do it McAfee style.

The bet received a mixed response from X fans, not all of whom were convinced that Greenberg would be on the winning side.

“Adams won’t go because Rodgers won’t be in the league in two years,” said one viewer.

“[49ers] have a better chance of getting Davante than the Jets,” a second suggested.

While a third simply said they thought they were “great deals”.

As for Adams, he was asked on Wednesday whether his mentality was now better than it was during some of last season’s lowest moments – as shown in the Netflix documentaries, receiver.

“You saw the raw emotion. It was just a genuine insight into what we were going through.

“It wasn’t always the brightest spot, but there were a lot of good moments, too.”
