AMAZON is looking to broaden its horizons with the NFL.

The tech giant’s Prime Video streaming platform has revealed its aim to stream a future Super Bowl game.

Prime Video has been the exclusive streaming home for Thursday Night Soccer since last year.

Prime Video Sports executive Jay Marine told Washington Post that Amazon plans to be a leader in the sports industry.

“I believe we will be a major sports broadcaster in all major markets around the world,” Marine told the daily newspaper.

During the interview, Marine confirmed that Amazon Prime wants to broadcast the Super Bowl.

The big game has always been broadcast nationally on cable, with the major networks taking turns airing it each year.

Marine did not impose a limit on how many properties Prime Video could bid on.

He also detailed the streaming platform’s aim to be a pioneer with the rights to Thursday Night Football in the US and the rights to the US Open in the UK.

“O NFL It changed the way people looked at us,” Marine said.

Amazon wants to stream popular leagues like the NFL and NBA and transfer rights to leagues with growth potential, like its deals with the WNBA and NWSL.

However, Marine is not interested in leagues that are “in the middle” in terms of popularity or growth.

Amazon Prime Video is likely target a Super Bowl in your next contract with the NFL.

NFL rights are up for negotiation in 2032.

Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football on-air team includes iconic broadcaster Al Michaels and color commentator Kirk Herbstreit.

Amazon’s goal to exclusively stream the Super Bowl comes after its latest deal with the NBA.

The company will pay nearly $20 billion over 11 years for NBA and WNBA games, including six NBA Conference Finals, the annual Play-In Play-In Tournament and three WNBA Finals.

The package will come into effect in the 2025 seasons for both Basketball leagues.

“This is not a small streaming package,” Marine said of the deal.

“This is one of the three main packages.”

“We will now have 12 months of sports, and the good thing is News is that it is working. That’s why you see us making another very large investment.”
