KANSAS City Chiefs fans loved the way coach Andy Reid reacted to the Las Vegas Raiders mocking quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
The Raiders went viral last week after players were seen mocking Mahomes on the practice field.
Over the years, it has often been suggested that the passer sounds like Kermit the Frog.
The Raiders chose to take this joke up a notch when someone brought a Kermit puppet with them to camp.
The doll was customized to include Mahomes’ jersey and hair similar to his.
The clip of Raiders players laughing as defensive back Trey Taylor placed the puppet in his hand quickly made the rounds on X.
Asked if it was “a smart idea to encourage Patrick Mahomes,” Reid said CBS“I would probably say no.
“We don’t spend a lot of time here with puppets. We try to do our job and get better. That’s what’s important.”
Fans think the veteran coach handled the situation perfectly.
“No puppets, just rings,” commented one.

“That’s probably why they win,” added another.
“Lol, I love all this drama, honestly. We need this,” posted a third.
“Oh my god I love Coach Reid,” a fourth responded.
Mahomes and his Chiefs face the division rivals Raiders on October 27th and November 29th.
And the three-time Super Bowl-winning signal-caller responded in what could be a chilling warning for his AFC West opponents.
“It’s still early in the year. Things like this happen,” Mahomes told reporters.
“It will be dealt with when it is dealt with.”
With Mahomes headed toward a Hall of Fame career, the Raiders may live to regret their actions.
The real winners will likely be fans who love it when a rivalry heats up.
Mahomes’ family joined him at camp yesterday.
Wife Brittany shared some exciting behind-the-scenes photos of their kids enjoying their workout.
The couple announced they are expecting a third child earlier this month.
