GMFB fans ‘ready to walk through a wall at 8am’ after Michael Buffer’s epic intro to mark NFL Network show’s big return

GMFB returned with a brilliant introduction from boxing icon Michael Buffer.

The legendary MC introduced the cast one by one in a sharp suit as they entered his new state-of-the-art home.

“Let’s get ready to foooootbaaaaaallll,” he shouted to end the segment in a nod to his famous “let’s get ready to rumble” catchphrase.

The show went on a four-month hiatus after moving from its former New York studio to California.

Fans were delighted as their mornings were blessed with GMFB again.

“This @gmfb intro with Michael Buffer has me ready to walk through a wall at 8am,” one commented.

“Let’s get ready for Ruuuumble!!!! Welcome back @gmfb,” added another.

“That was an amazing introduction,” replied a third.

“What a start! You guys go live at 5am…my goodness you are all so dedicated. Now we have everything we need for all things NFL to start the day. Congratulations,” a fourth commented.

“Welcome back, missed you all,” posted a fifth.

Brandt teased a throwback to GMFB’s final New York show, where he ended up wearing an “I Love New York” hoodie.

He joked that he ran from coast to coast all summer like Forrest Gump.

And he started today on the floor in the same sweatshirt before standing up, ripping it off to reveal a Los Angeles Rams jersey.

The changes didn’t stop there, as Grammy-winning artist Melissa Etheridge recorded a new version of the theme song.

Current hosts Jamie Erdahl, Brandt and Peter Schrager are joined by new additions Akbar Gbajabiamila and Sherree Burruss.

Buffer stayed for a while to come and go from the show during breaks.

Reporter Burruss had her own introduction before her first segment.

The new dawn of GMFB

The relaunch and return of Good Morning Football on July 29 was confirmed by NFL Network to coincide with training camp.

The morning show went off the air in March before a big change and move to Los Angeles.

Jamie Erdahl moved from New York cross-country to continue leading the show.

Her former partners Kyle Brandt and Peter Schrager will join her, but will split their time between New York and Los Angeles.

Sherree Burruss and Akbar Gbajabiamila have been confirmed as new additions to the revamped show.

She seemed delighted with her new role as she spoke to viewers through key training camp interviews.

Josh Allen and Derrick Henry showed up as Burruss suggested they could both produce some Angry Runs this season.

Brandt, 45, promised fans they wouldn’t be disappointed before the show aired.

“By the time the first topic comes up and we yell, ‘The Lead Block,’ and then we start talking about whoever’s at training camp, it’ll be like, ‘Oh, it’s Good Morning Football in a bigger studio,'” Brandt told Deadline.

“That’s my guarantee. We won’t break it. We won’t change it.

“Once the conversation starts, you will quickly become familiar with it.”
