The newest Madden video game is causing controversy with its player ratings.
Madden 25 has started releasing its NFL player ratings, starting with wide receivers.
Of course, fans are upset about their favorite players’ rankings in the newest edition of the game.
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was the highest-rated receiver at 99 overall, followed by Justin Jefferson and CeeDee Lamb.
The top 10 Madden wide receivers are as follows:
- Mount Tyreek – 99
- Justin Jefferson – 98
- CeeDee Cordeiro – 96
- AJ Brown – 95
- Brown – 95
- Davante Adams-94
- Ja’Marr Chase – 93
- Stefon Diggs – 92
- Brandon Aiyuk – 91
- Mike Evans-91
Fans of different teams were quick to speak their minds about players they felt should be ranked higher.
“Jetta not having 99 and 1 is a crime haha,” said one fan.
“I’m not arguing against Tyreek, but I’m arguing that JJ should be shoulder to shoulder with him,” said another fan.
“Madden hates Ja’Marr Chase,” said a third fan.

“Jamarr Chase should be taller!” a fourth fan said.
“Mike Evans’ disrespect is crazy,” said a fifth fan.
It’s difficult to rank NFL players, but Hill deserves the top spot.
Last year, he threw for 1,799 yards and scored 13 total touchdowns, both the most for the wide receiver position.
Hill made the All-Pro team, Pro Bowl team, and finished second in Offensive Player of the Year voting to Christian McCaffrey.
Jefferson hasn’t played a full season in 2023, but still surpassed 1,000 yards.
He collected 1,074 yards and five touchdowns in 10 games, which would put him on pace for close to Hill’s numbers over a full season.
Jefferson also had 1,800 yards in the 2022 season.
Many fans were clamoring for Chase to take one of the top spots, but he clearly had a lesser season than Jefferson and Hill.
Chase threw for 1,216 yards and seven touchdowns, still good, but not the best.
He also barely surpassed 1,000 yards in 2022.
