PATRICK Mahomes showed appreciation to a top Texas Tech recruit on Thursday.
A video emerged today from a Texas Tech office showing a wild capture of top recruit Micah Hudson.
During the clip, Hudson reaches out as far as he can and grabs the football out of the air, spinning it around and falling to the ground as he holds it.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Mahomes, who played college football at Texas Tech, noticed the catch on his Account X.
The three-time Super Bowl champion retweeted a screenshot of Hudson barely catching the ball before bringing it to the ground.
Mahomes captioned the retweet: “This is crazy…..!”
Fans flooded the retweet to share their thoughts on the “crazy” capture.
“Check his gloves. There must be superglue or velcro on them,” joked one fan.
“He’s HE… is that how the saying goes?” said a second.
“I can do this! (And hurt everything on my body in the process),” commented a third.

“Brothers jealous of these receivers LMAO,” said a fifth.
Hudson is a five-star recruit, according to 24/7 Sports.
The outstanding wide receiver attended Lake Belton High School, where he played football all four years.
Over the course of his high school career, he accumulated 3,885 receiving yards and 1,243 rushing yards.
Hudson scored 11 rushing touchdowns and caught 202 passes, scoring 47 aerial touchdowns, according to 24/7 Sports.
He’s 6-foot-4 and 190 pounds and is set to play wide receiver for the Red Raiders this year.
The five-star recruit committed to the Red Raiders on September 11, 2023.
Hudson signed his letter of intent on December 20, 2023.
Mahomes certainly won’t just react on his X account to more Hudson catches, as the Chiefs quarterback frequently watches Texas Tech football games.
Hudson will now also see Mahomes’ unique logo every time he plays at home for the Red Raiders.
Starting this fall, Mahomes’ Gladiator logo will appear in center field at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock.
The move is part of a new 10-year agreement signed between Mahomes, Adidas and Texas Tech.
Adidas has become the official footwear, uniforms, apparel and accessories partner of the Red Raiders.
As part of the deal, Texas Tech will release co-branded apparel featuring Mahomes’ Gladiator logo.
Texas Tech already had a two-decade apparel partnership with Under Armour.
“I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for Texas Tech, and I’m proud to have helped bring Red Raider Nation into the three-stripes family,” Mahomes said.
