Jason Kelce’s outfit features a subtle nod to the Olympics during surprise appearance in new show on ESPN’s NFL Countdown

JASON Kelce made his analyst debut on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown – and did so in style.

The 36-year-old Philadelphia Eagles legend appeared on the network’s NFL show ahead of the Hall of Fame game between the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans on Thursday night live from Canton, Ohio.

Kelce signed to be an analyst on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown in April, one month after retiring from the NFL after 13 seasons in the league.

He recently appeared at the 2024 Paris Olympics and was a super Team USA fan, attending several events in the US with his wife, Kylie.

Fast forward to Thursday at 7 p.m., Eastern and live TV viewers were greeted by Kelce appearing in the ESPN studios alongside host Scott Van Pelt and analysts Ryan Clark and Marcus Spears during a special edition of NFL Countdown for the Hall of Fame preseason game.

Kelce was seen wearing a beret — a French hat — while Van Pelt comically introduced the retired NFL offensive lineman.

“I wondered if he could wear a tie. He didn’t use it. Already are Kelce came back from Paris,” he said.

Kelce, meanwhile, was seen playing with his co-star Spears.

Van Pelt also said that the hat “looks good” on Kelce, who responded, “I feel Parisian.”

Spears then commented on Kelce’s hat, saying “He looks like he’s about to stab someone.”

This made all the speakers laugh as the program continued.

ESPN’s Monday Night team of Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Lisa Salters will be on hand for the Bears-Texans preseason game.

Kelce enters his new job at ESPN after his broadcasting experience while a player last year.

During a bye week in 2023, he enjoyed a stint on Amazon’s Thursday Night Soccer.

“This is totally new territory for me,” Kelce said at the time.

“I have even more respect for that now. It’s very difficult to do something live, react to the stimulus that just happened, and have something intelligent and meaningful to say.”

He will continue to co-host his New Heights podcast with his brother, Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce.

Kelce retired after a stellar 13-year career.

He earned six first-team All-Pro nods and seven Pro Bowls.

Kelce helped the Eagles win their first Super Bowl in 2018.

The 36-year-old played his entire career in Philadelphia and is likely to have earned his place in the NFL Hall of Fame.
