The pair recently attended the Fox NFL and College Football Seminar, where they met Goodell.

As big Swifties and friends of her partner and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, Andrews and Thompson took the opportunity to “corner” Goodell and advocate for a Taylor halftime show.

“Charissa and I did the best we could to deliver our opening and closing remarks on why the NFL needs to have Taylor Swift as the Super Bowl halftime show this year,” Andrews said in his statement. To calm down podcast.

Thompson admitted that part of his desire to see Taylor perform is because of his love for the pop star, as well as the fact that they will be covering the game.

She then looked at “the Chads and parents who didn’t want [Taylor] to be shown on television” during the final season.

“But, I don’t know, maybe bringing in not just revenue but also a new audience of young women or girls and boys who didn’t watch it but loved it,” Thompson added.

“But anyway, she never did it and there is no bigger star in the world.

“Does she need to do this? No, of course, she doesn’t have to do that.

“But that’s what we were talking about, Michael Jackson didn’t need to do the Super Bowl halftime performance, but he did.

“Whitney Houston didn’t have to sing the national anthem, but she did.

“I feel like Taylor, if you’re listening, your resume is full of everything.

“You did everything, but doesn’t that also mean you performed at the Super Bowl halftime?”

Thompson noted that adding extra encouragement for Taylor would give the Chiefs the opportunity to make history if they reached the Super Bowl.

“If you do it your way, and the Kansas City Chiefs do it their way, it will be at your boyfriend’s game, where they’re going to try the threepeat for the first time in league history, so it would be a culmination of things that have never been done before,” she explained.

While Andrews and Thompson may have been excited about the prospect of a halftime show from Taylor, her fans were less optimistic about X.

“Not while Travis is gone. So maybe when he retires,” one of them suggested.

“No! No! No! She will be finishing her huge tour. She needs [sleep]”, commented a second.

“She doesn’t need it. She refused several times,” added a third.

A fourth bluntly replied: “She’s not going to do it. Give the girl a break.”

Before the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVIII triumph in Las Vegas in February, the NFL made a last-minute effort to hire Swift for the halftime show.

However, although she attended the game, catching a last-minute flight back from the Japanese leg of her tour to arrive on time, her focus was on enjoying the moment.

After the Super Bowl, The US Sun exclusively reported that, according to an outside NFL business consultant, some league insiders were extremely interested in signing Swift to LIX.

“The ads could cost $8.5 million each, an increase of $1 million or more,” the source said.

“This year, it is estimated that their presence helped generate a lot of money, estimated between 700 and 750 million dollars.

“If she is the headliner of next year’s halftime show, she is expected to generate upwards of $1.3 to 1.5 billion.”
