STEPHEN A. Smith made another malicious attack on the Dallas Cowboys.

Smith’s feud with the Cowboys is nothing new, with the First Take host regularly taking any opportunity presented to him to mock “America’s team.”

Friday’s program was presented remotely at the National Association of Black Journalists convention in Chicago.

One of the segments saw Smith answer a “student Q&A”, with the audience joining him and co-host Molly Qerim on stage.

“They better be prepared, I’m judging the quality of the question,” warned Smith.

The second guest to join them was Kennedy Tate from Dallas, Texas.

Qerim quickly asked if she was a Cowboys fan, but luckily for Smith, Tate quickly responded, “Oh my God, no. No.”

“I was about to have security remove you,” Smith admitted to the delight of the audience.

Tate then asked Smith if the New York Knicks’ New York Yankees would be next to win a championship.

“You have to go with the Yankees because they constantly knock on the door every day,” he explained.

Smith added that despite the summer struggles, he couldn’t see beyond players like Aaron Judge and Juan Soto when it came to the Yankees’ potential.

However, Smith also explained that another reason he opted for the Yankees was that he still felt the Knicks were not yet the best team in the NBA.

“My problem is I want to say the Knicks. But I know the Bostons (Celtics) better and I think the acquisition of Paul George with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey in Philly (76ers) is formidable,” he said.

“And that’s just taking into account the East, you have to look at the Western Conference and the firepower that is in the West.”

Smith added that he feels the Knicks are “on the rise” but that the final piece of the puzzle is still missing.

“They need a bonus number one scoring option,” he said.

Stephen A. Smith’s journey through the media

STEPHEN A. Smith is now the face of ESPN and executive producer of First Take, having initially started working for the company in 2003.

Smith has held numerous roles at the network, including radio show host, contributions to SportsCenter and appearance on NBA Countdown.

He was a columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer from 1994 to 2010.

He started as an NBA writer before becoming a general sports columnist.

Prior to that, Smith worked as a reporter at the Winston-Salem Journal, the Greensboro News and the New York Daily News.

“Someone like a [Kevin Durant]Giannis Antetokounmpo, someone who is 6-foot-5, 6-foot-8, 6-foot-8.

The Knicks have looked to upgrade throughout this offseason.

Most notably, they acquired former NBA All-Defensive First Teamer Mikal Bridges in a trade with the Brooklyn Nets.

They also re-signed second team all-defensive back OG Anunoby to a massive new five-year contract worth $212.5 million.

While All-Star Jalen Brunson also put pen to paper on an extension worth $156.5 million over four years.

Asked whether he believed the New York Yankees or Knicks would win the title first, Smith chose the former, thanks in large part to Aaron Judge (left) and Juan Soto (right).
