NFL fans were stunned by Patrick Mahomes’ ranking on the league’s annual Top 100 list.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is a three-time Super Bowl champion and was twice named the league’s MVP.
Despite his credentials, Mahomes wasn’t even the highest-ranked quarterback in the league’s controversial rankings.
The NFL revealed on Friday he was ranked 4th on the list ahead of the upcoming 2024 season.
The league’s reigning MVP, Lamar Jackson, was in second place, taking over as the league’s best defender.
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey beat out Mahomes for the top three despite missing QB in Super Bowl LVIII in February.
