At the clipnewly drafted wide receiver Xavier Worthy can be seen running past defenders wide open.

Patrick Mahomes spots Worthy and connects with him on a deep pass and he catches it and runs into the endzone to loud cheers from the fans.

Fans flocked to the clip to give their opinions after watching the pair attack.

“He [Worthy] can actually cook this year,” said one fan.

“Complete Domination”, raved for a second.

“Worthy is going to cook a lot of DBs this season,” said a third.

“Terrifying combination of Mahomes and Worthy, they will let the league know,” a fourth wrote to X.

“Yeah those boys might like turf,” said a fifth fan.

Not everyone praised the connection, as some fans believed the defense wasn’t trying to play.

“Yeah, because that security guard definitely wasn’t running in the final 2-3 seconds of the play,” joked one fan.

A second fan said the defenders were running at half speed and abandoned the play.

“Honestly, this is PRACTICE,” fumed a third.

The Chiefs selected him 28th overall in this year’s NFL Draft after he broke the combined 40-yard dash record.

Worthy played for the Texas Longhorns for three years during college and posted impressive statistics.

The Texas product racked up 2,755 receiving yards and caught 26 touchdowns in 39 games.

Former first-round pick Marquise “Hollywood” Brown was also signed to a one-year contract.

Brown and Worthy join sophomore Rashee Rice, who set an NFL record for postseason receptions by a rookie with 26.

This gives Mahomes much better receiving space than he has enjoyed since Tyreek Hill joined the Miami Dolphins in 2022.

During a recent press conference, Mahomes praised the group’s new look.

“What impressed me so much about Hollywood is that everyone told me he was a fast guy, but no one told me how much he can really do on the football field. And you can see that,” he said.

“I mean, he can run intermediate routes. He can run really good, deep routes, just like the other receivers, you can see the speed we have and how it’s opening everyone up.

“And then even seeing Rashee and how he took the next step.

“I mean, it’s a great group, so I’m excited about their future, because I mean the sky’s the limit.”
