SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER will play without her personal caddy in the third round of the PGA Championship.
Scheffler, 27, will take to the green on Saturday, two days after the start of the esteemed tournament at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky.
However, the American will have to face some of the best in the sport in the world without his right arm, following an unprecedented decision.
According to Sports stool reporter Dan Rapaport, the golf star will be without his caddy Ted Scott.
Scheffler confirmed that Scott will leave Louisville on Friday night for family reasons.
His caddy will be absent from the PGA Championship because he will be attending his daughter’s high school graduation.
Therefore, Scott is likely to miss Saturday’s round when Scheffler is in action.
The New Jersey star, however, will have a replacement caddy for that day.
Regardless, Scott will be back in time on Sunday to reunite with Scheffler.
The double Master’s champion must perfectly understand Scott’s situation.
