SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER could be in trouble over how to prepare for the second round of her upcoming golf championship after fans learned a crazy theory.

Scheffler had to warm up in a cell after being arrested following a confrontation with police hours before the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, KY, USA.

Photos showed the 27-year-old was detained before police released a photo of him.

The American was charged with second-degree criminal assault on a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and failure to comply with a police officer’s traffic signals.

Scheffler was released and managed to tee off in time.

And the world’s No. 1 golfer produced an excellent showing by shooting a five-under-par 66.

However, fans online noticed a notable stat at the end of his second inning.

His five-under par score in the second round turned out to be the second-best he has ever made in a golf tournament, tied with the five-under par he shot in the second round at the Masters in 2022.

The revelation left fans surprised, while many social media users couldn’t help but make a joke about it.

One fan said: “There seems to be a significant correlation with success and arrest. Scottie might want to consider doing this more often.”
