GOLF star Scottie Scheffler celebrated his second Masters triumph – and then rushed home for the birth of his son.
Scheffler, 27, donned the green jacket for the second time with a four-stroke victory at Augusta National Golf Club on Sunday.

And he went straight home to Dallas, Texas, to celebrate with his wife Meredith, who was pregnant.
Scheffler was ready to withdraw from the Masters if Meredith went into labor.
He reaffirmed his position ahead of Sunday’s round at 2:35 pm local time despite maintaining a one-shot lead.
Fortunately for the world No. 1, he managed to complete his round without alarm and captured his second major.
Afterwards, CBS host Jim Nantz on Butler Cabin asked him if he had a message for wife Meredith.
“I’m coming home. I’ll be home as soon as I can,” he said.
“I love you and I’m coming home.”
Scheffler added, “You’re about to make me cry here at Butler Cabin. It’s a very special moment for both of us.
“I can’t put into words what it means to win this tournament again and I really can’t put into words what it will be like to be a father for the first time.
“Looking forward to getting home and celebrating with Meredith, it’s been a long week without her.”
Scheffler married his high school sweetheart Meredith in 2020.
The couple is expecting their first child, who has arrived very close to the Masters.
The golfer even found a way to get around Augusta’s no-phones-on-Sunday policy in case there was any news about the baby.
Speaking on Saturday, he said: “Yes, I definitely have a way of getting home really quickly.
“And yes, we have someone here who has access to a cell phone.

“And yes, I will be available to go home whenever you need me.”
Before the tournament began, Scheffler indicated that Meredith was not yet pregnant.
“As far as going into labor, I wouldn’t say I’m too worried,” Scheffler said during an April 11 press conference.
“We didn’t see any of the early signs. But pregnancy is weird. This can happen at any time.
“We have open lines of communication and she can contact me if she needs to.
“And yes, I’m ready to go at any time.”
Sunday’s victory adds to Scheffler’s triumph at the 2022 Masters.
He has yet to win any of the other three golf championships, with his best finishes being tied for second at the PGA Championship in 2023 and the US Open in 2022.
The 27-year-old’s best result at The Open Championship is tied for eighth place in 2021.
