An impressive college cheerleader who went viral at last year’s Masters has had a tough time during her long-awaited return to Augusta.

Aaliyah Kikumoto rose to fame after being caught on camera watching the action between Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka unfold on the 16th hole during the 2023 event.

Nicknamed ‘Masters Girl,’ the Texas Tech dancer received modeling offers, marriage proposals, and even NIL deals.

The 20-year-old decided to return to the Masters this year in hopes of finding more fame and fortune.

But she suffered a series of problems on the way to Augusta, including an absurd flight delay.

“As you can imagine, there are no direct flights from Lubbock [Texas] for Augusta”, her father, Charles, told OutKick.

“So our daughter had to fly from Lubbock to Dallas, from Charlotte to Augusta and was supposed to land just before midnight on Friday.

“Her flight in Dallas was delayed due to (non-weather) issues, so she missed her flight to Augusta.

“She receives a message that she has been rescheduled from Charlotte to Augusta on Sunday instead of being there as originally booked on Friday night.”

Charles drove to Charlotte to pick up Aaliyah at 12:30 p.m. and then they drove more than three hours to Augusta.

“We decided to go back to Augusta and we arrived at 4 a.m. and we wanted to take any other poor soul that was in the same situation with us,” he said.

“I almost screamed at the airport, does anyone need a ride to the Masters?

“So it’s Saturday morning and Masters Girl is here on Augusta grounds and with a few hours of sleep we can’t complain.”

Aaliyah posted several photos of herself on Instagram wearing a white dress and green Masters cap.

“Meet me at the clubhouse #themastersgirl,” she captioned posting on social media.

But Aaliyah was not filmed during her participation in the tournament this time.

Still, the Colorado native managed to make the most of her newfound fame.

She landed a modeling gig with BSX Media and secured ambassadorships for Prime, the energy drink founded by internet personalities Logan Paul and KSI.

Meanwhile, her Instagram following rose to 42,000 and she even received marriage proposals in her DMs.

“It’s been an interesting journey and one that I didn’t expect to happen this way,” Aaliyah told the Daily Star.

“It’s something I wanted at some point to grow my brand and be a positive influence for good.

“While all of this is unfolding, I’m still trying to do homework, study for exams, Pom appointments, and other things.”

Aaliyah wants to become a golf influencer like Paige Spiranac.

“I definitely want to become an influencer and do big things,” she said The Daily Star.

“When looking at this opportunity, I am looking to be a multidisciplinary influencer, be it dance, golf, modeling, etc.

“I also have other interests that will be announced soon. I’m like a Swiss army knife.”
