A RARE PHOTO has shown the “brutal” damage to Tiger Woods’ leg following his horrific accident.

The golf legend, who played in the final men’s championship of the year at Royal Troon in Scotland at the weekend but missed the cut, made a miraculous return from surgery on both legs following a car accident in Los Angeles in 2021 .

A photo of him posing with a fan wearing shorts initially revealed some of the damage he suffered in operations two years ago.

This showed a huge scar on the side of his right leg.

Since then, the 15-time major champion has rarely been seen without wearing a leg sleeve.

However, he attended an event his 15-year-old son Charlie was due to attend on Monday.

Woods, who also had five back operations, chose not to wear the sleeve while there.

And that led to a fan taking a photo of his surgically repaired leg.

Once again, he showed the huge scare on the right side of his right leg.

After being shared on X, one fan commented: “This looks brutal.”

One fellow fan declared he looked “gnarly”, while others praised his “steel” for being able to return to a golf course.

Woods only managed to play five times this year and finished 60th at the Masters.

The icon missed the cut in the other three majors and was forced to withdraw from the Genesis Invitational.

But he has not yet given any clues as to whether he will adopt an even lighter schedule in 2025.

Meanwhile, Woods was prohibited by U.S. Golf Association rules from serving as Charlie’s caddy in the tournament.

The American sports icon had about 100 people waiting on the first tee to see Charlie play, according to the Associated Press.

Guidelines state that a player cannot use a parent, stepparent or guardian as a caddy during the event.

Charlie had teammate Luke Wise to handle the bags, and his father handled surveillance.

Despite the remarkable support, it was far from Charlie’s happiest day.

He never managed to advance at any stage and had to settle for 12 for 82.

The pressures and toil of the day were clearly apparent when Charlie covered his face with his hat at the end of the round.
