SKY SPORTS commentator Wayne Riley was warned by his bosses after making a sexist comment during The Open, according to reports.

Riley, 61, was part of Sky’s coverage of Royal Troon earlier this month.

During one segment, the former Australian golf pro gave viewers a behind-the-scenes tour of the on-site practice facility.

The outing included Riley getting a massage with a therapy gun.

As he worked on his shoulders, the Sydney-born former golfer smiled and groaned.

He then thought it fit to joke: “I tell you what, if it could cook and clean, I would marry it.”

According to Correspondencethe clip left Riley, who was known as “Radar” during his playing career, in hot water.

They claim the father-of-four received a “reprimand” from bosses for his comments.

And they add that both Sky and Riley were contacted after the incident.

In addition to appearing for the first time, the controversial segment also appeared in a highlights package shown hours later.

Riley was told that he should “be careful” with his choice of words in the future.

But it was accepted he had no intention of causing harm or offending.
