Mets’ top prospect Jett Williams placed on injured list with sore right wrist

O Mets‘Double-A affiliate Binghamton Rumble Ponies placed prospects Jett Williams on the 7-day injured list, according to the team’s transactions page.

Williams is dealing with soreness in his right wrist.

Williams, 20, hasn’t played since April 21. On Monday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reported that the injury did not appear to be serious.

However, the Mets; #1 Prospect on SNY Top 30 List Now he will be away from the team and will miss some more time.

The speedy shortstop has played in 11 games so far this season and is slashing .179/.360/.308 with three doubles, eight walks, nine runs scored and two steals.
