Reetz provides depth after Bailey and his backup, Murphy, suffered back-to-back injuries over the weekend.
Bailey landed in 7 day IL concussion on Saturday, after taking off his mask on Friday night. The Giants recalled catcher Blake Sabol from Triple-A Sacramento for Saturday’s game against the Phillies, and then Murphy suffered a knee injury in wet conditions that night.
Jefferies returns to the major league team after his first two starts with the Orange and Black didn’t go as planned, posting a 17.36 in those two starts. And White, who the Giants acquired in an April 20 negotiation with the Toronto Blue Jays, compiled an 11.81 ERA in 5.1 innings for San Francisco.
Reetz has a career line in the minors at .234/.328/.478 after being drafted in the third round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Washington Nationals.
