Baseball Gods takes place this beautiful Thursday with four MLB games in the afternoon. Since I’m still riding the sports rollercoaster and getting a head start on this MLB season, I’m going to focus on the Athletics vs Twins game, which starts at 7:40 pm EST.
However, these baseball articles won’t just feature simple vig bets. If there is no plus sign in front of the odds, it will not be displayed. I’m here to offer exciting plays with more odds. I’ll leave the individual bets to the MLB experts.
To bet: Royce Lewis over 1.5 total bases, Joe Ryan over 7.5 strikeouts, Twins over 4.5 runs (+525)
Royce Lewis over 1.5 total bases
In the direct confrontation with Luis Medina at the beginning of the game, I see Lewis having a good chance of reaching Medina. In Medina’s last five starts, he has given up 18 hits and nine extra-base hits. In two of those games, he allowed four extra-base hits each.
If you look at the data from BaseballSavant.com, Lewis is hitting like crazy. Low chase percentage, high expected strike percentage, and high xwOBA. It also helps to have 14 km/h winds straight from the park.

Joe Ryan over 7.5 strikeouts
Before I explain why I like this, I want you to understand that this number increased due to them playing Athletics. If you just want to play eliminations, I would take seven Ks and bet with the Twins money line.
Athletics attacks a lot. Only the Mariners have been shut out more times than the As this season. Per www.degenelytics.netthe As are first in MLB in TrueK rate against right-handed pitchers.
Ryan has the ability to get eight or more Ks. We’ve seen him do that twice in the last three games.
Twins team total over 4.5 runs
Generally, after a team scores a football score against another team the day before, I like to throw them off, thinking they will chase more and try to recapture that feeling from the day before.
However, I like that the twins keep attacking. They average 4.5 runs per game and have hit over 4.5 in 30 games. If Carlos Correa and Lewis can get to the yard today, we can easily get this right.
