It looks like we might be getting our first look at Mets‘City Connect Topics.

In an image reportedly leaked in Japan and posted to X on Saturday morning, it appears the New York field cap, which will be officially released later this month, was on display.

The primary color of the cap displayed is black with the Queensboro Bridge appearing on the front, which isn’t a surprise based on team teasers released over the past two weeks.

The Mets, of course, didn’t wear their usual black Friday night jerseys during last night’s series-opening win over the Royals at Citi Field, which is another potential indicator that the City Connect uniform will be black.

On the lower brim of the openwork cap, it features New York City written in front script and the purple 7 Train, which was also indicated as a potential feature in the team’s teaser.

Later in the morning, another potential leak began to emerge on the X, featuring a different shirt and hat.

The uniform appeared to be gray with pinstripes and featured NYC in large letters across the chest, while the hat was black and featured the Mets’ regular logo in purple.

It’s unknown if any of these leaks are the official jersey, but we’ll find out later this week.

The Mets are expected to officially release the uniforms on April 19, and according to Paul Lukas of Uni Watch, they will wear them for the first time a week later when they face the St. Louis Cardinals at Citi Field.

In addition to the Mets, the Guardians, Tigers, Dodgers, Twins, Phillies, Cardinals, Rays and Blue Jays will also receive City Connect uniforms this season.

Some teams that unveiled City Connect uniforms stayed true to their regular team colors, while others, like the Colorado Rockies and Boston Red Sox, strayed far from the norm.

If any of these leaks are real, it appears the Mets will go that route as well.
