O Mets I have good news about reliever Sean Reid-Foleywith tests on his shoulder revealing only one impact, the manager Carlos Mendoza said on Tuesday.

According to Mendoza, it should be a quick step forward for Reid-Foley, with him possibly able to return from the IL when he is first eligible.

Reid-Foley was placed on the IL on Saturday, meaning he could be activated on July 5.

He missed the start of the season with a shoulder injury, but has been effective since his return, pitching to a 1.66 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP along with 25 strikeouts in 23 starts.

In addition to being without Reid-Foley, the Mets bullpen is also without the suspended Edwin Diazwho is eligible to return on July 6th.
