When you’re around a high school program that has so much talent.
How does this impact your daily life?
I understand that’s really your only understanding of high school baseball, right?
You never played mediocre baseball in high school, but being in that kind of environment, like, what did it do for you as a player?
I mean, to be the best, you need to be around the best.
So, like, I would say, being the best high school team in the country, like, I don’t know, it was a lot easier to get better at baseball.
Like everyone on the team really enjoys doing this.
There wasn’t really anyone who brought the team down in any way.
Um, as well as a lot of team chemistry.
Uh The senior class was super tight like previous years and like, what happened during those seasons?
So ultimately I would say it all just clicked at the right time, right place and this team was amazing.
Did you feel pressure?
Like, I mean, this is the kind of thing where it’s a unique experience to have a nationally ranked high school team, there’s so many players that are going to have that opportunity and especially in this situation, probably going out there expecting to literally win every game.
I don’t know how many games you lost per year.

Right.
And I’m sure for these games, I, I don’t know if you want to talk about this, but I’m curious what happens in these situations?
I mean, I’m sure it’s fun.
You have all these incredible players.
It was challenging at times to think, oh no, we’re expected to win every game.
We hope to win the state championship and all that stuff.
Yes.
Uh, but I, I would say our team was really good at using that as fuel instead of playing, uh, like, really, like, um, shy, I think, uh, like our two losses, we just came across a good arm.
As if that was all, that’s all that happened.
Like, I can’t win, I can’t beat everyone, I guess.
Uh, but throughout the year we knew we had a chance.
We knew we had a super tough schedule and our coach, like, preached to us about like, we don’t care how many games we lose.
We just want to win a state championship and we know that if we continue day after day everything will be resolved
