On several occasions in the past, [autotag]Conor McGregor[/autotag] offered public support for donald trumpbut all it took was a video of the former US president praising [autotag]Khabib Nurmagomedov[/autotag] to undo everything.
On Monday, a clip of Trump’s interview with internet personality Adin Ross circulated on social media. In it, Ross asks Trump who some of his favorite UFC fighters are, and Trump immediately names Nurmagomedov, who retired undefeated (29-0) with a submission victory over McGregor at UFC 229 in October 2018.
That was enough for McGregor to attack Trump.
After hearing Trump praising his rival, McGregor turned to X to publicly humiliate the Republican Party’s presidential candidate. McGregor called it a “campaign-ending decision” to name Nurmagomedov – who is not an American fighter – as his favorite.

With Dana White as his longtime friend, Trump has a lot of support from UFC fighters, one of whom is [autotag]michael chandler[/autotag]who is in line to fight McGregor following his return to the cage after an absence of more than three years.
Chandler didn’t like McGregor’s words and rushed to Trump’s defense in Xcausing a twist between the two.
