ABU DHABI – [autotag]Urijah Faber[/autotag] he thinks [autotag]Yadong Song[/autotag] It would be a bad match for [autotag]Henry Cejudo[/autotag].

Yadong (21-8-1 MMA, 10-3-1 UFC) and Cejudo (16-4 MMA, 10-4 UFC) were back and forth on social media, but a fight never materialized. Yadong’s coach, Faber, revealed that the pair were linked for a fight on September 14, at UFC 306, but Cejudo was in no condition to compete.

“I like Cejudo too, so I wouldn’t want to see that for Cejudo because I think Song would yell at him,” Faber told MMA Junkie. “And I think maybe Cejudo knows that. So I don’t know if this fight will happen.

“It takes two people to sign on the dotted line. She was thrown on the table for the Sphere. I think Cejudo maybe got hurt, so we’re waiting for what’s next for Song. Any of those guys.”

Yadong has won five of his last seven, but is coming off a unanimous decision loss to former champion Petr Yan at UFC 299. Faber is confident that Yadong will produce another UFC title for Team Alpha Male after TJ Dillashaw and Cody Garbrandt accomplished golden training outside your gym.

“No one wants to fight Song,” Faber said. “It’s like a whisper campaign to stay away from Song Yadong, and there’s a good reason for that. That belt will be back in the gym, held high in China and California, so whoever’s next, let’s do it.”
