Reports: AJ McKee vs. Paul Hughes Target for PFL Oct. 19 Pay-Per-View

The PFL’s return to pay-per-view is starting to take shape.

The promotion is targeting a lightweight fight between the former Bellator champion [autotag]AJ McKee[/autotag] and Irish prominence [autotag]Paulo Hughes[/autotag] for the October 19th event.

News of the fight was first reported by MagicM MMABets in X and later confirmed by MMA fightwho cited several sources.

Last week, the PFL announced that Francis Ngannou vs. Renan Ferreira would headline the pay-per-view, with Cris Cyborg vs. Larissa Pacheco serving as the co-main event.

This will be the second fight for McKee (22-1) since the PFL’s acquisition of Bellator. He last fought in February, when he submitted PFL standout Clay Collard at the PFL vs. McKee is currently on a four-fight winning streak since his only professional loss to Patricio Freire in 2022.

Hughes (12-1) recently fought in a Bellator Champions Series event. He defeated Bobby King in June to improve his winning streak to six in a row.

With the addition, the PFL’s current October 19 pay-per-view schedule includes:

  • Francis Ngannou x Renan Ferreira

  • Cris Cyborg x Larissa Pacheco

  • Paul Hughes vs AJ McKee
