CONOR MCGREGOR will make his long-awaited return to the UFC in the summer for a do-or-die showdown with Michael Chandler.

The former two-weight world champion hasn’t set foot in the Octagon since breaking his left leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier almost THREE YEARS back.

McGregor and Chandler, aged 35 and 37 respectively, were initially scheduled to be defeated last December, but the UFC ultimately decided to postpone the clash until 2024.

And the rival coaches from The Ultimate Fighter’s 31st season are now on track to cap off what will be an incredibly busy International Fight Week in the main event of UFC 303 in Las Vegas.

Fan favorite McGregor will be looking to claim his first win in over FOUR YEARS when the pair collides.

The IrishJupiter’s last victory came in January 2020, when he decimated Donald Cerrone in just 40 seconds in his first match since his crushing 2018 loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov.

And he will try to use Chandler as a springboard for a surprise title shot at lightweight or welterweight.

Chandler will have the same idea in mind when he ends his 19-month cage hiatus.

• UFC 303 will take place on June 29th.
• The fight will be held at the 20,000-capacity T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
• Octagon walks are expected to take place at around 5:30am (BST) on June 30, although they may start earlier if there are a number of early arrivals.
• The preliminaries will start at 11:30 am (Brasília time).

What channel is it on and can it be streamed live?

• It hasn’t been officially announced, but McGregor’s return clash with Chandler is expected to be broadcast on the TNT Sports box office.
• The Dubliner’s ill-fated series decider with Poirier aired on BT Sports Box Office in July 2021 and cost £19.99 and €29.99.
