Although it was a low-key event by UFC standards, last Saturday’s event UFC on ESPN 55 The event created some movement in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie rankings.

Two major card winners in particular gained attention. Former UFC flyweight title challenger Alex Pérez lost three fights with a vicious knockout of Matheus Nicolau in the main event, while the Brazilian women’s flyweight Karen Silva made it 4-0 inside the Octagon with a unanimous decision over Ariane da Silva at UFC Apex, in Las Vegas.
