UFC fans couldn’t help but notice that Michael Chandler was left out of the promotion’s first official trailer for his showdown with Conor McGregor.
The former three-time Bellator lightweight champion will welcome the MMA star back to the Octagon on June 29 in the main fight of UFC 303 in Las Vegas.
The first provocation The trailer for Return of the Mac was released on Sunday, with the UFC sharing on its YouTube and social media channels.
But they didn’t include any footage of Chandler in the 30-second clip, in which McGregor’s silhouette walked menacingly up and down under a green spotlight while ‘Foggy Dew’ played in the background.
The fan favorite’s absence didn’t go unnoticed by fight fans, one of whom said, “They didn’t even put Chandler in the trailer.”
Another said: “Dude they said, ‘We don’t even need Michael, what’s his name for the promotion’.”
And another said: “Let’s meet Chandler in the trailer, he’s hiding somewhere.”
One commented: “Producer: McGregor. Director: McGregor. Actor: McGregor.”
Another added: “This is how they should have announced it at UFC 300.”
One mixed martial arts fan, however, insisted that Chandler was not snubbed and that the UFC was just trying to hype up McGregor’s long-awaited return to the Octagon.

They wrote: “Obviously there will be one for Chandler as well.
“I mean that it would be absurd to put him in a situation provocation with Irish music, full green teaser.”
McGregor, 35, hasn’t set foot in the Octagon since breaking his left leg almost three years ago in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier.
The former two-division champion will look to earn his first victory in more than four years when he takes down Chandler, who he plans to eliminate with a previously broken shin.
In a recent interview with James Corden, the Irish said, “I’m the Terminator now.
“I have a titanium rod that goes up to the knee and down to the bone, to the ankle.
“It’s unbreakable.
“I want and I will work to land that kick with that steel bar on the leg against an opponent and get him out of there.”
Chandler, however, plans to send McGregor into the final fight of his UFC contract on a three-fight skid.
The 37-year-old told The MacLife: “I still see the outcome the same way.
“I think I’m going to put him at a disadvantage in the first round, make him guess in the first round, start drowning him in the first round and finish him off in the second.
“I don’t know if it’s going to be a knockout or a choke.
“Make him give up his back, his neck, but I think it could be a submission in the second round.
“And that hasn’t changed, that’s my Mystic Mike prediction.”
