UFC champion Sean O’Malley ‘switching’ Conor McGregor’s allegiance after being the target of rant

UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley Could be losing your affection for Conor McGregor after being included in a rant aimed at Ryan Garcia.

McGregor unloaded on Garcia in a since-deleted social media post after the boxing star tested positive for traces of the banned substance ostarine in connection with his win over Devin Haney. Another prohibited substance may also be present, but additional testing of your original sample and B sample is required.

McGregor called for Garcia’s lifetime ban and then directed some of his ire at O’Malley in the same post.

O’Malley tested positive for the same banned substance in 2019, leading to a six-month suspension from the US Anti-Doping Agency. McGregor mentioned this situation in his post and said he would like to fight O’Malley, and even offered to take him to Dublin for sparring.

O’Malley finally addressed McGregor’s post on Monday’s episode of Podcast “TimboSugarShow” and admitted he was taken aback by McGregor’s tone after his past has been nothing but cordial.

“It was crazy what Conor did – f*k Conor,” O’Malley said. “Fuck Conor, man. I’ve seen a lot of people saying, ‘Yeah, I bet ‘Suga’ is sad. ‘Suga’ is always saying nothing (but) very good things about Conor, and he’s his goddamn idol.

“He just made a little rant tweet. Fucking sugary snot, talking shit. — I’ll take you to train. Okay, right. I was more sad than angry.”

Despite indicating that he thought McGregor was not sober when he posted the message, O’Malley (18-1 MMA, 10-1 UFC) appears to hold a grudge against “The Notorious.”

With McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) set to return to the Octagon after a nearly three-year layoff against Michael Chandler (23-8 MMA, 2-3 UFC) in UFC 303 on June 29 in Las Vegas, O’Malley said he now knows exactly who he’s rooting for.

“Now I can’t wait to see Michael Chandler completely sleep with him,” O’Malley said. “I’m showing up. I’m changing very quickly. Fuck Conor. When your idols turn to rivals.”
