Fans were surprised to see the fighter on the TV show where celebrities appear in costume, while judges and viewers try to guess their identities.

He sang a rendition of OneRepublic’s ‘Counting Stars’ in spectacular style, given that he makes a living in the octagon.

This comes five months after the South African martial artist defeated the UFC’s most controversial figure.

The star in question is current UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis.

Du Plessis was eliminated in the last episode of the competition, despite receiving a standing ovation.

In January this year, Du Plessis made history by becoming the first South African UFC champion following his victory in Toronto.

He defeated American Sean Strickland for the UFC middleweight title after a split decision.

The judges scored it 48-47, 47-48, 48-47 in favor of Du Plessis.

Another said: “This can’t be real. It is certainly a narration.”

A third declared: “WHAT THE HELL?”

A fourth said: “Another side quest destroyed by our champion.”

After elimination, Du Plessis said: “It looked really fun and I love music.

“I sing a lot in the shower, I sing a lot in the car, so I thought, ‘Let’s take this car singing to the world.’

“I’ve tried everything. I played a lot of sports, played a lot of instruments. This was just one more thing to check off my list.”

Meanwhile, Du Plessis is expected to fight top contender Israel Adesanya in September.

After the victory in Toronto, Du Plessis said: “This is history! South Africa… we can probably hear them from the outside. This country is incredible.”

Following his historic win, he exclusively told SunSport: “It means absolutely everything to me.

“But this is much bigger than me. It’s about inspiring a nation and inspiring a continent and a whole generation of young people.”
