McGregor reposted the clip on his Instagram and revealed: “I still haven’t ridden my bike again after that.”

The Irishman has relied heavily on cycling training after getting it back following his 2016 defeat to Nate Diaz.

With the help of coach and doctor Julian Dalby, McGregor won the exciting rematch on points.

And at the time, the former UFC champion explained why he preferred cycling to running.

McGregor said on an embedded UFC episode: “We do a specific heart rate at a specific power. For endurance it is good because you are not traveling the roads

“If I were to run; you’re cruising the roads and that’s not good for your body.

“Then I do the sprints on the treadmill and the rowing machine. And then I do my endurance on the bike.”

McGregor captured the moments shortly after his frightening fall from his bike last year.

“Thank you God, it wasn’t my time. Thank you wrestling and judo too. Being aware of the landing saved my life.”

McGregor, 35, was given a lift by the driver – called Nick – and the two chatted on the way home.

His scare on the road appears to affect preparations for his UFC return against Michael Chandler, 37, on June 29 in Las Vegas.

It will be the Dubliner’s first fight since 2021, when he broke his leg against Dustin Poirier, 35, after just one round.
