We’ve seen some nasty leg fractures throughout MMA history. Anderson Silva, Conor McGregor and Chris Weidman come to mind from the UFC, but this might be more horrible than all of them.

An amateur fight at Saturday’s Full Contact Fighting Federation “Rumble at the Roseland 120” event at the Roseland Theater in Portland ended in disaster when JR Bunn Broke his leg in frightening fashion in his 130-pound fight with Jason Shaner.

Bunn came out of the gate throwing heavy high and low kicks. He threw a powerful kick to the right leg that was stopped by Shaner, and the shin was broken. Bunn tries to step back and instantly collapses to the canvas, where the fight is stopped moments after it started.

UFC bantamweight Ricky Simon was in attendance at the event and captured the final sequence, which you can watch below at your own risk (via X):

It’s never good to see a fighter suffer this type of injury, but it’s even more unfortunate for Bunn, who is just beginning his career after winning his amateur debut in February with a 24-second TKO victory.
