UFC Lightweight Mateusz Rebecki took to Instagram on Sunday to show off his horrific facial injuries after losing to Diego Ferreira.
Rebecki faced Ferreira in the Saturday’s UFC Fight Night in St Louis, Missouriand the Pole actually won the first round on the three judges’ scorecards.
However, Brazilian Ferreira won the second frame on all cards, before dominating Rebecki in the final round.
With nine seconds left in the fight, Ferreria, 39, took down Rebecki and secured a technical knockout for the 31-year-old, who was on the ground.
Rebecki’s face was a mess, with blood pouring from his eyes – both of which were swollen, almost to the point of closing.
After the fight, Rebecki shared a photo of the damage on Instagram, apparently posting from his hospital bed. The Polish wrote the caption “Zycie”, which means “life”.
