The Notorious will be welcomed back to the Octagon by fellow fan favorite Michael Chandler – his rival trainer from season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter.

Tickets for The Return of Mac have sold like hotcakes, with most seats at T-Mobile Arena already sold out.

And the tickets already sold, according to UFC president and CEO, Dana White, broke the promotion’s live gate record.

The record previously belonged to the historic UFC 205 card at Madison Square Garden, which McGregor headlined.

The live gate for the 2016 extravaganza was £13,662,593.

But the gateway to UFC 303, according to White, is destined to lower that massive number.

During the UFC St Louis post-fight press conference last weekend, White said of the gate: “It’s already over $20 million.”

UFC 303 will likely have over a million pay-per-view buys given the immense interest in McGregor’s return.

The Irish35 years old, hasn’t set foot in the Octagon since breaking his left leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier in July 2021.

McGregor underwent long and arduous rehabilitation to recover from the tibia and fibula fractures he suffered in the Sin City clash.

Inside McGregor’s Notorious Lifestyle

With more sides to his personality than an octagon, Conor McGregor’s rise has been fascinating.

But the Dubliner will have no qualms about firing his once-broken limb at Chandler’s top brass.

In a recent interview with James Cordenthe Dubliner said: “I’m the Terminator now.

“I have a titanium rod that goes up to my knee and down to the bone, down to my ankle.

“It’s unbreakable.

“I want and will work to land that kick – with that steel bar on my leg – against an opponent and get them out.”
