LAS VEGAS – Khaos Williams enter on Saturday UFC 241 Fight Night co-main event against violent-minded Carlston Harris.
UFC matchmaker Sean Shelby knew what he was doing when he pitted Williams (14-3 MMA, 5-2 UFC) against Harris (19-5 MMA, 4-1 UFC) in a welterweight bout at the UFC Apex (ESPN+). Both men have already had spectacular highlights in their individual careers and there is a good chance of another this weekend.
“I’m ready to fight 15 minutes, but in all my fights, I don’t see any of them going the distance,” Williams told MMA Junkie and other reporters at Wednesday’s media day. “When I get into a fight, I don’t see any of them going far. I just feel like whoever’s in front of me, the guy’s not going to last. Just one shot if you make a mistake.
“If I subdue him or if I test his chin and take his soul from his body, he won’t last. But I know you can’t knock everyone out. But that’s exactly what I intend to do. I don’t want this to come to a decision.”
Williams, 30, enters UFC Fight Night 241 with three wins in his last four fights. He gains prominence as a co-headliner and plans to take advantage by delivering his best.
“Regardless, I’m going to bring it,” Williams said. “Whether I’m the first fight, the last fight, the co-main event – I’m going to bring it like it’s the main event.”
