Highly touted middleweight Shara Magomedova will remain in the lineup for the UFC’s return to Saudi Arabia.

Magomedov (12-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) was scheduled to face Ihor Potieria at the June 22 event, UFC on ABC 6, in Riyadh, but Potieria was scheduled to face Michel Pereira at UFC 301. Now Shara “Bullet” will take over the promotional debutant Joilton Lutterbach (38-10 MMA, 0-0 UFC), the UFC announced this Monday.

Magomedov made his UFC debut last October in Abu Dhabi and beat Bruno Silva via unanimous decision at UFC 294. It was only the second time in his career that the Dagestani native went to a decision. He has 10 of his 12 wins by knockout.

Joilton Lutterbach is a Brazilian who fights outside of Germany. Although he is only 31 years old, he has 48 MMA fights, as well as many other competitive fights in disciplines such as Muay Thai and kickboxing. He has a very balanced record with 14 knockouts, 13 submissions and 11 decisions, and has only been submitted three times in his 10 defeats.

With the change, the UFC on ABC 6 lineup now includes:

  • Robert Whittaker x Khamzat Chimaev

  • Sergei Pavlovich x Alexander Volkov

  • Kelvin Gastelum x Daniel Rodriguez

  • Volkan Oezdemir x Johnny Walker

  • Joilton Lutterbach x Shara Magomedov

  • Jared Gordon x Nasrat Haqparast

  • Abu Azaitar x Denis Tiuliulin

  • Magomed Gadzhiyasulov x Brendson Ribeiro

  • Muin Gafurov x Kyung Ho Kang

  • Farid Basharat x Montel Jackson

  • Melsik Baghdasaryan vs Muhammad Naimov

  • Nicolas Dalby vs Rinat Fakhretdinov

  • Lee Chang Ho x Xiao Long
