For those who are in the anti-Greg Hardy camp, Thursday’s news and highlights might feel like an early birthday present or something.

Hardy, a former UFC heavyweight and former NFL All-Pro defensive player, was knocked out and fell into the ropes against Samoa’s Patrick Mailata at a Team Combat League event.

Hardy, who joined the UFC in January 2019 after a development deal through Dana White’s Contender Series, had his last UFC fight in March 2022. A first-round TKO loss to Serghei Spivac capped a three-fight skid, and Hardy was not re-signed after terminate your contract.

Since leaving the UFC, Hardy has continued to compete in combat sports. Not counting his Team Combat League appearances, which are considered exhibitions, Hardy is 3-0 as a boxer. He also tried bare-knuckle boxing in February 2023 when he was submitted by Josh Watson in the second round at BKFC: Knucklemania 3.

Hardy’s time in the NFL before entering the world of combat sports was marked by controversy, including accusations of domestic violence and a subsequent suspension.
