Battery charge against UFC fighter Sedriques Dumas dismissed

Pending domestic violence charges against UFC middleweight Sedriques Dumas He was fired.

During a plea hearing Monday at the Escambia County (Florida) courthouse, state prosecutors filed a nolle prosequi (nolle pros), or a formal abandonment of the charge.

Dumas, 28, previously faced an assault charge stemming from a Feb. 13 arrest. Police alleged that Dumas slapped the mother of his child. Dumas livestreamed his interactions with police shortly before his arrest on Facebook. Dumas pleaded not guilty to the charges.

“All my charges were dropped in the DV case and f$u@ everyone,” Dumas wrote on Monday X. “They call me a wife beater in my BM and everything and thank you to my lawyer Greg Whibbs, one of the best lawyers I have on my team and will always be on my team. Thank you Allah.”

Online police records show the arrest was Dumas’ 13th in Escambia County since 2014.

Dumas spent 16 days behind bars after this latest arrest, while in the middle of a fight camp for a March 30 fight against Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC on ESPN 54. Dumas lost via TKO in the first round, although some viewers ( and Dumas) said that The Eye Poke occurred shortly before the end.

Although the opponent was not revealed, Dumas posted on social media that your next fight will take place on July 13th.
