Unfounded rumors are circulating that the former two-division champion may be out of the UFC 303 main event after suffering an injury.

And McGregor, 35, appeared to lean on them as he shared a photo of himself apparently lying in a physiotherapist’s chair at Instagram.

The UFC poster boy smiled wryly in the photo, which included a muscle emoji as a caption.

Dozens of the Dubliner’s 45 million followers flooded the comments section to demand clarity, with one writing: “What is going on?”

Another commented: “Are you fighting or what?”

And another commented: “Bro, please say something, man.”

One commented: “Is the fight over?”

Another said: “Bro is posing.”

McGregor’s post came hours after former three-time Bellator lightweight champion Chandler hinted that he is LEFT your training ground.

Chandler, 37, has been preparing for the biggest fight of his career at Kill Cliff FC in Deerfield, Florida.

But on Wednesday he wrote on Instagram: “If you’re looking for me, I’ll be in Tennessee.

“There is no way out of the life we choose… Keep moving forward. See you at the top!”

Neither McGregor nor UFC bosses gave a reason for the last-minute cancellation of Monday’s press conference.

Both, however, issued statements of apology to the 10,000 fans who would attend the 3Arena.

McGregor said: “In consultation with the UFC, today’s press conference has been canceled due to a number of obstacles beyond our control.

“I apologize to my Irish fans and fans around the world for the inconvenience and thank you for all your passion and support.

“I can’t wait to put on the biggest show ever in the Octagon.”

McGregor, the UFC’s first simultaneous two-weight world champion, hasn’t stepped into the Octagon in almost three years.

Mystic Mac broke his left tibia and fibula in his last match against longtime rival Dustin Poirier, to whom he suffered back-to-back losses.
