THE IBRAGIMOV Brothers are the ones to watch on the football pitch – but the elder Ibragimov is the one not to mess with.

Brothers Amir, 16, Gazik, 15, and Muhammad, 12, are rocking the Manchester United academy and are considered stars of the future.

Amir even trained with the first team and scored for England at Under 15 and 16 levels.

Although the eldest of the talented Ibragimov clan is Ibragim, who is not a football player, but an undefeated MMA fighter.

Ibragim hung up his boots after being released by City to focus on MMA – where he is now contracted by the Professional Fighters League.

He said The mirror: “Amir is at the stage where he is about to be hired. In my view, he should be like a starting player.

“Gazik is also coming, but I want to keep Muhammad where he is now because he is very young and I don’t want to put too much pressure on him, but they will all make it one day.”

“I also played football and was very good at it. I was playing for Man City and I was about 15 and I was about to get signed but they didn’t sign me.

“I did MMA and football at the same time, so I started focusing on MMA.”

Ibragim is his brothers’ biggest fan and regularly supports their football careers online – and has touted the younger Amir as a future fighter in the making.

He has now signed with the PFL and returns on Saturday in Newcastle against Welshman Josh Reed.

Ibragim trains at Manchester Top Team with the likes of UFC featherweight Lerone Murphy and former PFL champion Brendan Loughnane.

But he regularly returns to his home country of Dagestan, where he is mentored by MMA legend Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Ibragim said: “I never dated Khabib, but I have a very good relationship with him.

“He gives me a lot of respect and it’s usually difficult to be so humble when you’re on his stage.

“I think if Khabib returned to the UFC he would definitely take back the belt, he can compete at that level again.

“Khabib is very good, the control and pressure he exerts is on a different level.”
