MMA star Ion Surdu slapped his opponent in the face before brutally knocking him out.
The Romanian faced David Kozma in the co-main fight of Oktagon 58, at the Fortuna Arena, in Slavia Prague, with a capacity of 20,000 seats.
And he quickly overcame hometown hero Kozma with a sudden but violent stoppage in the opening round.
Kozma was in front when a quick right hook dropped him to the canvas.
Surdu wasted no time in following up with a savage right hand with his opponent down and defenseless.
Fortunately, the referee intervened after ground and pound’s first punch landed, while fans were stunned by the knockout.
One of them said: “Ion Surdu knocked out David Kozma COLD with a short counter right to the chin.
“Blink and you’ll miss it. Big win for the Moldovan.”
Another added: “Wow, Ion Surdu completely destroyed David Kozma with a beautiful counterattack at that moment.
One commented: “Wow, Ion Surdu’s incredibly subtle right hook earned him a knockout victory over David Kozma.

Surdu was rewarded with a fight for the vacant Oktagon welterweight against Amiran Gogoladze.
Meanwhile, Kozma was taken to hospital as a precaution, Oktagon officials confirmed.
