Carlos Prates woke up the crowd UFC on ESPN 57 after six consecutive decisions he opened the card.
Prates (19-6 MMA, 2-0 UFC) showed his striking skills against Charlie Radtke (9-4 MMA, 2-1 UFC) in a welterweight bout at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky, landing a brilliantly placed knee to the body that doubled his opponent and forced the referee to intervene at 4:47 of the first round.

After the victory, Prates said he wants to return to action at UFC 305, in Perth, Australia, and revealed that there is a personal motivation behind the request.
“August. On the 17th, the UFC will do a show in Australia”, said Prates in a post-fight interview with Paul Felder. “It’s my birthday and my daughter also lives there. So please give me a fight in Australia. Please.”
