2024 PFL 4 Video: Liz Carmouche beats Kana Watanabe at the bell with an armbar and wins the playoffs

UNCASVILLE, Connecticut – Over a 13-year professional career, Liz Carmouche may be reaching new records with nine straight wins.

At the 2024 PFL 4 on Thursday, Carmouche (22-7) presented Kana Watanabe (13-3-1) with eight seconds left in the fight to earn four points and secure their place in the women’s flyweight playoffs. The stoppage occurred at 4:52 of the 3rd round. The fight took place at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

Carmouche was on the bottom, on guard, when he attempted a quick submission and blocked it. The knock came a few seconds later.

The fight was a rematch of a June 2021 Bellator fight that Carmouche also won. This was by permanent technical knockout lasting 35 seconds.

  • Taila Santos defeated. Taila Santos via split decision

  • Oleg Popov defeated. Davion Franklin by unanimous decision

  • Tyrell Fortune defeated. Marcelo Golm by unanimous decision

  • Ilara Joanne defeated. Shanna Young via unanimous decision

  • Tim Johnson defeated. Danilo Marques by TKO (punches) – Round 1, 3:14

  • Juliana Velásquez defeated. Lisa Mauldin via TKO (ground-and-pound) – Round 2, 1:30

  • Sumiko Inaba defeated. Saray Orozco via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)
