Rafael dos Anjos has apparently been waiting more than eight years to investigate Conor McGregor after an injury.

Dos Anjos was the victim of a lot of violence when, as UFC lightweight champion, removed from a scheduled title defense against then-featherweight champion McGregor at UFC 196 in March 2016 due to a broken foot.

McGregor has continued to take photos at Anjos since then, and it’s clear that the Brazilian hasn’t forgotten that.

So when McGregor was forced to pull out of his comeback fight against Michael Chandler in UFC 303 on June 29th in Las Vegas due to injury, dos Anjos took advantage of the moment to hit “The Notorious” on a deep callback (via X):

It’s just a bruise, take some ibuprofen.

McGregor released a statement about his first retirement from his UFC career, and Chandler also shared his thoughts. It appears the two plan to reschedule the fight for a later date, but nothing has been announced by the UFC at this time.
