Anderson Silva It is Chael Sonnen they had no intention of getting hurt when they entered the ring for a boxing match on Saturday in Brazil.

In a combat sports trilogy between the pair, Silva and Sonnen sparred lightly for five rounds of two-minute exhibition boxing in front of a private audience at Spaten Fight Night in São Paulo.

Both men landed some solid blows to the head, with Silva bloodying Sonnen’s nose at the end of the fight, but there was never any threat of a knockout or knockout.

With no finish and no judges in place, the fight between UFC Hall of Famer and former UFC middleweight champion Silva and Sonnen ended in a draw.

Check out some scenes from the fight below:

The final meeting between the rivals is now probably in the books.

Silva defeated Sonnen via submission in the fifth round at UFC 117 in August 2010 to defend his UFC middleweight title in a fight that will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame later this month.

They would have a rematch at UFC 148 in July 2012, which Silva won by technical knockout in the second round.

Despite the heated nature of their UFC rivalry, Silva, 48, and Sonnen, 47, have established a friendly relationship in the years since. This became evident after the boxing match when the two hugged.
